Dr. Zhou received her master degree in education from University of Leuven in Belgium and her Ph.D. degree in educational psychology from Simon Fraser University in Canada. Prior to joining the University of Macau in 2013, she was Assistant Professor in National Institute of Educaiton, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Dr. Zhou is currently associate professor in Faculty of Education at University of Macau. She is also serving as the Director of Educational Research Center. Dr. Zhou’s research interests focus on technology enriched classrooms in higher education, innovative measurement in education and psychology, positive psychology and non-cognitive development in students across age groups.
Dr. Zhou has published extensively in well-known peer-reviewed journals on these topics, including Journal of Educational Psychology, Computers and Education, Learning and Instruction, and Learning and Individual Differences. For her work, she received the Best Researcher Award in International Conference on Education and E-Learning in 2018, Best Presentation Award in 5th International Conference on Management and Education Innovation In 2017 and Innovative Research Award in International Conference: Innovative research in a changing and challenging world in 2012.
Dr. Zhou has been very active in serving in her journal editorship, conference committees as well as delivering invited talks at different academic occasions. She is also dedicated to local educational community by training local teachers and conducting school-based research.
